Reddit (RDDT) filed its Q2 2026 quarterly report (10-Q) on July 30, and the user-metrics section ends with a single sentence. From the quarter ending September 30, 2026, the company will no longer report daily active uniques (DAUq) split between logged-in and logged-out. In the same section, the last reported quarter shows growth of 18% overall, 7% for logged-in users, and 1% for logged-in users in the United States.
In plain terms
Reddit reports each quarter how many people visited it on an average day. Until now it also showed that number split between people signed in to an account and people who were not. From the quarter ending September 30, 2026 it will show only the total and the split by region. In the last quarter it reported, the total was up 18% from a year earlier, while the signed-in count was up 7%.
What happened
Reddit (RDDT) is a community site where users post and comment, and most of its revenue comes from advertising.
Its Q2 2026 quarterly report (10-Q), filed on July 30, contains a section of the MD&A called 'Trends in User Metrics'. That is where the company explains how it counts its users each quarter. The Daily Active Unique part of it ends like this: "Therefore, beginning in the quarter ended September 30, 2026, we will no longer report logged-in and logged-out DAUq."
What goes is the split; what stays is the total. Overall DAUq and DAUq by geography, meaning the United States and the rest of the world, continue to be reported. Overall DAUq was 130.3m in Q2 2026, up 18% from a year earlier. Revenue in the same quarter was $804.9m, up 61%, and revenue per visitor was $6.18, up 36%.
The reason the company had been counting the logged-in figure is in the same section. It has said those users tend to engage more and spend more time on the platform.

Is Reddit no longer reporting user numbers at all?
No. Total DAUq and DAUq by geography (United States and rest of world) continue to be reported. What ends is the split between visitors who were signed in and those who were not.
What reason does the company give?
The 10-Q says that as the business has scaled and the product strategy has evolved, the focus has shifted to delivering value for all users regardless of whether they are logged in, and that management primarily uses total DAUq and DAUq by geography to run the business and evaluate performance.
Does this change any reported number?
No reported figure changes. From next quarter the two growth rates can no longer be read side by side. The last values and the gap between them are set out over eight quarters in the subscriber section of this article.
